GASP”
Originally from Oslo, Norway, Aasulv Wolf Austad started his career as a Director of Photography at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, photographing over 30 documentaries before moving to Los Angeles in 1997 to study cinematography at the American Film Institute. Since graduating from the AFI, Wolf has worked on feature films, documentaries and commercials. His feature film credits include “Half-Life,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008, won the Grand Jury Prize at the GenArt Film Festival in New York and screened at other major festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival; “Entry Level,” a comedy starring D.B. Sweeney and Missi Pyle; and “GASP,” shot in Beijing, starring Chinese superstar Ge You (“To Live”) and John Savage (“The Deer Hunter”). “GASP” won the box office when it was released nationwide in China in August 2009. Wolf lives in Southern California with his wife Mari and daughter Mimi.
